Promotion of decentralization and good governance at the local level.
On January 9-12, representatives of City halls and municipality councils, as well as the members of Gender Equality councils of five municipalities of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region: Tianeti, Mtskheta, Dusheti, Akhalgori and Kazbegi took part in the training “Promotion of Gender Equality Action Plan”. The aim of the training is to raise awareness among the members of Gender Equality Councils about subjects like, gender equality , women’s rights, national and international obligations , gender budgeting, statistics and how to implement effectively the Action Plans. The training was organized by Women's Information Center, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Sweden, within the framework of the UN Joint Project "Promoting Decentralization and Good Governance at the Local Level". |
