On February 5, 2023, a preparatory meeting for the report of civil sector representatives of Georgia was held for the 84th session of the CEDAW Committee.
An optional public meeting between civil sector representatives and the committee will be held on February 6.
Representatives of the civil sector working on women's rights from Georgia are in Geneva.
At this year's session of the committee, the following will make an oral statement: Director of the Women's Information Center, Elene Rusetskaya; "Sapari Union " director, Baia Pataraia; Ana Aptsiauri from the organization "Equality Movement"; Liana Churgulia from the Eurasian HIV/AIDS Women's Network.
Representatives of the civil sector will talk about the challenges of women's rights in Georgia, for which the country will be allocated 10 minutes in total.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
