As part of the project “Women Act for Peace and Community Empowerment,” the cycle of information meetings continues. Following Tetritskaro, the next meeting took place in the ABL village, Perevi.
On July 9, together with the local community worker, we met women and youth from the Perevi community.
The goal of the meeting remains unchanged: to build trust, initiate collaboration, and share information about the opportunities the project offers to conflict-affected and internally displaced women and youth.
The discussion covered the project’s objectives, as well as each participant’s role in the self-help group of their community.
This meeting once again clearly demonstrated that women have vision, willingness, and potential to be active agents of change in their communities. We discussed local needs and challenges faced by the community, their priorities, and the ways we can work together.
The project is implemented by the three organisations’ coalition: Women’s Information Center, the IDP Women Association “Consent,” and the Charity Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi; in partnership with UN Women and the UK Government.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
