
Within the framework of the project “Women for Equality, Peace and Development” supported by UN Women, several activities have been held in Shida Kartli. Among them were trainings aimed at study of the documentation of the meetings with one window shop principle case providers and monitoring of results. In addition to the project team, the representatives of Shida Kartli based NGOs were attending the trainings.
Organization held advisory meeting in the similar format, aimed at reviewing problems of IDPs and conflict affected persons and their on-site resolution. Representatives of the local government, Social Service Agency and other relevant institutions were attending these meetings.
Women’s Information Center has been used one window shop principle since 2010. It helps organization in resolution of the problems of IDPs and conflict affected persons.
In the period of January-June 2014, in the population of Gori and conflict zone borderline villages the problems such as lack of shelter for single mothers, cancellation of social assistance, urgent surgeries, and addressing to the relevant institutions, were identified. Moreover, borderline villages (Plavi, Arbo, Korda), have limited water supply, as well as problem of installation of counters, which make additional difficulties for them.
In the village Korda necessity of kindergarten was identified. Center for the children has no relevant status and requires urgent repair. In case if it is reconstructed and status is granted, population of the village Arbo will also use the kindergarten.
WIC is actively working on all abovementioned cases and advocacy is being carried out.
Organization has information on the problems that has already been resolved this year. Marina Bukia, resident of village Koki in Samegrelo, has a husband, who is incapable of work, and three little children. She lived in a house with damaged roof, because of that water was leaking and children were catching cold very often. As a result of advocacy, DCR financed construction of cottage and family’s problem concerning shelter will be resolved.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
