
At the event titled "Local Women, Global Impact: Advancing Women, Peace, and Security through a Future Pact," organized by GNWP and OSCE, Ana Nemsadze highlighted the crucial role of local women peacebuilders. She also shared recommendations on the importance of sustainable funding to support women’s organizations working on peace and security.
The representative of the Women’s Information Center addressed key issues such as:
- The importance of sustainable funding for the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda, which ensures women’s inclusion;
- The challenges faced by civil society in Georgia, particularly laws that restrict the space for civil society organizations and threaten human rights;
- Strengthening the voice of women in decision-making and conflict resolution processes, and prioritizing their involvement.
At the Summit of the Future, alongside other key topics, the role of youth in shaping the desired future was emphasized. As stated by the UN Secretary-General, "Youth are the future, but we need them today." This call aligns with one of the priorities of the Women's Information Center: empowering youth and promoting their involvement, especially in conflict-affected regions of Georgia.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
