Georgia is experiencing a significant setback in terms of women's rights and gender equality, fueled by political crisis and polarization. The initiative to hold the Congress serves not only to identify existing challenges, but also to develop practical solutions that will improve women's rights and strengthen their participation in the country's development.
The main theme of the 2025 Women's Congress is "The Role of Women in Democracy Building: Achievements, Challenges and the Search for Solutions", which will highlight the significant contribution of women in democracy building.
The Congress brought together women's human rights defenders, activists, leaders, local and international experts, representatives of academic and diplomatic circles, journalists and people interested on issues such as: preventing violence, combating the anti-gender movement, promoting women's political participation, women's economic empowerment, implementing gender policies, implementing the "Women, Peace and Security" agenda, etc.
The Congress is organized by the Women's Information Center, and its supporters are various local and international partners.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
