Two-day training on "Gender and Gender Misinformation," organized by the Women's Information Center. This insightful event brought together a diverse group of bloggers, vloggers, graphic designers, and media representatives to explore crucial topics.

Led by esteemed gender experts Mamuka Gachechiladze and Lela Khomeriki, the training was focused on different issues. Day one focused on dissecting gender roles, norms, stereotypes, and their societal implications. We also examined women's political participation through a Georgian lens.

Day two was dedicated to combating gender misinformation. Participants engaged deeply with the dangers posed by sexist hate speech, backed by real-life case studies. The session also shed light on the harmful impact of gender misinformation in digital environments, stressing the importance of media literacy.

This initiative was made possible through the "Women's Information Center: Against Gender Misinformation" project, generously supported by ZINC NETWORK. Our goal is to raise awareness and foster informed discussions to combat gender misinformation effectively.

We take great pride in announcing that WIC from Georgia has been bestowed with the esteemed CAREC PROGRAM Gender Award—CAREC GENDER CHAMPIONS 2023. Certainly, it is noteworthy that women's organizations from various countries around the world were nominated for this prestigious award
