On March 20, a working meeting was held, organized by the Women's Information Center.

The meeting aimed to support conflict-affected women and youth; As well as women and youth living along the so-called administrative border. At the same time, the goal was to raise the awareness of participants, so that they can independently advocate for issues.

The workshop was facilitated by the WIC Director, Elene Russetskaya.

The event was held in two sessions. The speaker of the first part was expert Aleksandre Svanishvili, and the second session was led by lawyer Sulkhan Saladze.

The local community leader women from the target municipalities attended the meeting.

Speakers discussed such topics as access to information, forms of direct implementation of self-government, types of citizens' participation in the implementation of local self-government, effective mechanisms of advocacy campaigns, the expert evaluation of the current events taking part in our country, etc.

The working meeting was held in interactive mode. The participants expressed their views and raised important questions for them. In addition, discussions were held among the attendees, within the framework of which they shared both their personal and municipal experiences.

According to the participant’s feedback, the training was very fruitful, as they received key information and recommendations. In addition, they were able to define appropriate action steps for an effective advocacy campaign.

A working meeting was held within the framework of the joint project "Women and Youth for the Local Implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda", supported by the UN Women and the UK Government.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
